Northrop taps new corporate lead exec in Herndon office
Northrop Grumman has named Charlie Lyon corporate lead executive for company business in Herndon, Va., where he will replace Timothy Peppe, who is retiring.
Northrop Grumman has named Charlie Lyon corporate lead executive for company business in Herndon, Va., where he will replace Timothy Peppe, who is retiring.
Lyon will report to Timothy Jones, vice president, aviation and intelligence ,surveillance and reconnaissance.
In this new role, Lyon will represent Northrop Grumman to customers in the eastern region, including joint and Air Force commands across the continental United States and Europe, such as the European Command, Africa Command, Air Combat Command, Global Strike Command, Air & Education Training Command and U.S. Air Forces Europe, the company said in a release.
He joins Northrop after retiring from the Air Force, where he served for 32 years.
Lyon holds a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from The Citadel, Charleston, S.C., and a master’s in national security strategy from the National War College.
