Lockheed scores $440M extension for National Airspace System support

Lockheed Martin has won a $440 million contract extension to continue supporting the Federal Aviation Administration’s National Airspace System.

The original contract, awarded to Lockheed four years ago, is called the NAS Integration Support Contract, and it provides services and integration planning for equipment and infrastructure improvements for NAS modernization.

The contract’s task orders enable rapid access to experts with high-level technical, engineering and information technology capabilities where the FAA needs to implement or integrate equipment, components or related capital projects, Lockheed said in a release.

The company’s work on the contract includes providing integration and implementation services across a range of areas including IT, engineering, energy, environmental occupational safety & health, spectrum analysis, and training and flight procedures support, the company said.
