The Advanced Technology Support Program III contract, or ATSP3, calls for engineering services designed to resolve problems with obsolete, unreliable, unmaintainable, underperforming, or incapable electronics hardware and software, the Defense Department said.
These problems are resolved through the development of advanced technology insertions and applications to meet the Defense Department’s requirements for a quick reaction capability, the department said.
This contract modification raises the ceiling on the current ATSP3 contracts from $4.7 billion to $6 billion.
Work will be performed all around the globe, and is expected to be completed by December 2016.
These contracts were originally awarded in February 2004.
