Seven win millions in Navy test, evaluation contracts

Seven companies have won task order contracts of varying values with the U.S. Navy to provide operational test and evaluation analytical support services.

Under the contract, which includes fixed-price provisions, the companies will provide these services in support of the Command Operational Test and Evaluation Force. The companies will compete for task orders under these contracts.

The individual contract ceilings range from a high of $51 million for Booz Allen Hamilton to $36 million for a ManTech TSG-1 joint venture.

The winners and base contract values are:

• ManTech TSG-1 Joint Venture -- $11.8 million
• TASC Inc. -- $13.3 million
• Gryphon Technologies -- $13.4 million
• CGI Federal -- $13.7 million
• Alion Science and Technology -- $14.8 million
• Wyle Laboratories -- $15.4 million
• Booz Allen Hamilton -- $16.7 million

If contract are exercised, the values will rise to:

• ManTech TSG-1 Joint Venture -- $36 million
• TASC Inc. -- $40.3 million
• Gryphon Technologies -- $41.4 million
• CGI Federal -- $41.7 million
• Alion Science and Technology -- $45.2 million
• Wyle Laboratories -- $47.1 million
• Booz Allen Hamilton -- $51 million

Work will take place in Norfolk, Va., and is expected to be completed by June 2, 2014, or by June 3, 2016 with options.

Funding in the amount of $20,000 was obligated at the time of the award, and will be distributed evenly to the seven contractors, the Defense Department said in a release. It will expire at the end of 2013.

Seven bids were received for this contract and all seven bidders won contracts.
