15 win $900M Navy C5ISR contract
Fifteen companies have won a $900 million contract with the Navy for lifecycle support of interoperable command and control systems. Who's getting ready to compete for millions in task orders?
Fifteen contractors have won a $899.8 million task order contract with the Navy to for support services for interoperable command and control systems.
The winners are:

- Lockheed Martin Corp.

- Science Applications International Corp.
- Sotera Defense Solutions
- Scientific Research Corp.
- ManTech Systems Engineering Corp.
Some of the work the companies will compete for include development and engineering of tactical data links, integration of command and control systems with weapon systems and support for decision making process.
The contract is structured as a cost-plus-fixed-fee, performance-based contract, which has provisions for fixed-price-incentive and firm-fixed-price task orders. The base year is worth $179.9 million, with four option years.
Funds in the amount of $25,000 will be obligated at the time of the award, to be split among the 15 companies, and will not expire at the end of fiscal 2013, according to a Defense Department announcement.
16 offers were received, but only 15 awards were made.
Booz Allen won two contracts because the company acquired the engineering services from Arinc in 2012.
