Northrop Grumman taps new VP of cyber for government relations

Northrop Grumman Corp. has named retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm., P. Stephen Stanley, vice president of Cybersecurity/C4, reporting to Sid Ashworth, corporate vice president, Government Relations.

Effective immediately, Stanley leads the cybersecurity and command and control portfolio in Northrop’s government relations organization, the company said.

The organization develops and executes the cybersecurity and C4 aspects of the company’s strategic business plan, the company said.

Personally, Stanley will manage interactions with officials in the executive branch of the U.S. government, nongovernment officials, members of Congress and congressional staff members, Northrop Grumman said in a release.

Before Northrop Grumman, Stanley served as principal deputy director of cost assessment and program evaluation in the Office of the Secretary of Defense.

Before that, he served as director for force structure, resources and assessments for the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in ocean engineering from the United States Naval Academy.
