SAIC wins $667.3M Navy technical support contract

Science Applications International Corp. has won a $667.3 million contract with the Navy for technical support.

Services include systems engineering, integration, testing, large-scale fabrication, non-developmental item procurement, interim repair and maintenance services and training.

The contract is structured as a cost-plus-fixed-fee/cost-plus-incentive-fee/firm-fixed-price contract.

The contract has an initial base period worth $222.5 million, but options bring the total value to $667.3 million through January 2016.

Contract funds in the amount of $25,000 were obligated at the time of the award, according to a Defense Department announcement. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year.

Work is to be performed mostly at Charleston, S.C., with a small portion being performed in Norfolk, Va.

Five offers were received for this contract, and the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center Atlantic, Charleston, S.C., is the contracting activity.
