DLT Professional Services has decided to expand its professional services offerings and has hired Don Simpson to lead the effort.
DLT Solutions has expanded its professional services offering by hiring subject matter experts and professional engineering staff. To lead the effort, the comany has named Don Simpson vice president of the newly expanded professional services.
The additional subject matter experts and professional engineering staff specialize in Oracle core technology, E-business suite, identity management and value-added applications.
DLT Professional Services will still provide all of its other services, including consulting services for disaster recovery/backup, information technology security/monitoring, storage optimization and data archiving and electronics records management and discovery.
The company’s professional services offerings also includes data migration services to boost technology offerings from Symantec, NetApp and Quantum in addition to post-implementation support through the DLT Service Center, a technical support center, the company said.
Prior to working at DLT Solutions, Don Simpson served as chief information officer of the U.S. Transportation Department, Research and Innovative Technology Administration.
As for why DLT Solutions decided to expand its professional services offering, Rick Marcotte, DLT president and CEO, said that the company has been seeing “a shift in the dynamics of the IT services market, particularly the core federal space, due to agencies with lean budgets looking for simple, turnkey solutions that are easy to procure and install.”
By expanding DLT Professional Services, the company will be able to help its customers “realize greater performance, operational efficiencies, and improved adoption of our vendors’ products while also providing DLT with an additional platform for future growth,” Marcotte said.
