Booz Allen hits trifecta with $70m in AF contracts
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. has won three research and development contracts from the Air Force that have a combined total value of approximately $70 million.
Booz Allen Hamilton Inc. has won three research and development contracts from the Air Force that have a combined total value of approximately $70 million, according to a Sept. 28 Defense Department announcement.
The consulting company was awarded a $20.7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements R&D contract to complete and deliver critical infrastructure facilities assessments; strategic planning technical reports; and experimentation, war gaming and exercise technical reports.
The III Marine Expeditionary Force will use these deliverables to analyze and recommend methods to limit terrorist and enemy threats in a permanently deployed, overseas environment consisting of III Marine Expeditionary Force and Marine Corps personnel, equipment, facilities and staff.
Booz Allen also was awarded a cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements R&D contract worth $24.9 million to complete and deliver the “Emerging Leading-Edge Technological Advancement of Intelligence Surveillance Recon Capabilities Report,” the “Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures Report” and wargame/exercise lessons learned reports. They will be used ultimately to increase the situational awareness and survivability of warfighters by helping them to better identify battlefield threats.
Under the third cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery requirements contract, worth $24.1 million, Booz Allen will perform R&D to complete and deliver its capability evolution description document; a system prototype report; and the test and evaluation master plan.
The Navy will use these reports for investment decisions regarding potential technologies that can best protect warfighters from threats posed by technological warfare, natural disaster, biochemical warfare, and terrorism/insurgency.
Offutt Air Force Base, Neb., is the contracting activity for all three awards.
