Dovèl Technologies has hired a new senior vice president of business development and proposal management, and a new human resources director. It also has a new vice president for its Enterprise Solutions business unit.

Dovèl Technologies has hired a new senior vice president of business development and proposal management, and a new human resources director.

In his new role as senior vice president of business development and proposal management, Ken Smith will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing best practices designed to support Dovèl’s rapid growth, according to an Aug. 25 announcement.

Smith has nearly 25 years of experience in the IT industry, including systems engineering, software development, business development, along with operations and contract management.

Prior to joining Dovèl, Smith held senior business development leadership positions at Apptis and Apogen Technologies.

A decorated Navy veteran, Smith studied electrical engineering at the University of Memphis.

The company also hired Sharon Palmeter as vice president of human resources and recruiting. She joins Dovèl from QinetiQ, where she served as the federal contractor’s director of talent acquisition for the company’s 3,000-person Mission Solutions Group.

In addition, Dovèl promoted Kimberly Zurliene to vice president of the Enterprise Solutions business unit.
