STG builds outsourcing network for HUD IG office

STG Inc. has won a $7 million contract for an outsourcing network at the Housing and Urban Development Department, according to an announcement dated July 19.

The contractor will be responsible for the development, deployment and operation of outsourced network infrastructure and desktop support for HUD’s Office of Inspector General. This includes OIG headquarters, field offices and employees in the field.

HUD’s Office of Inspector General is committed to its statutory mission of detecting and preventing fraud, waste and abuse and promoting the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations, the announcement states.

“STG conducted a seamless transition in less than four days and is now fully engaged in performance,” STG President and CEO Simon Lee said in the announcement.

STG, of Reston, Va., ranks No. 88 on Washington Technology’s 2011 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
