CACI wraps up its 2 newest acquisitions

CACI International Inc. may have completed its Christmas shopping early this year, having wrapped up its separate acquisitions of TechniGraphics Inc. and Applied Systems Research Inc. on Nov. 1.

Both companies are providers of geospatial and technical services to the intelligence community and expand CACI’s presence in these disciplines, according to a company statement released today.

Financial terms of the deals were not reported.

Founded in 1982, TechniGraphics, of Wooster, Ohio, is a 450-person company with additional locations in Fort Collins, Colo., and Madrid. Its products form the basis for intelligence analysis, military operational planning and disaster relief planning.

The company’s principal customers are the U. S. intelligence community, the Defense and Homeland Security departments, and allied governments.

TechniGraphics’ revenue in calendar year 2010 is expected to be $46 million.

Founded in 1999, ASR is a 50-person company in Fairfax, Va., whose Measurements and Signatures Intelligence discipline provides solutions to difficult spatial, spectral and technical intelligence tasks.

The National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency is one of ASR’s main customers.

ASR is expected to generate almost $10 million in revenue in calendar year 2010.

“These acquisitions are particularly important to CACI’s concentrated focus on building our intelligence business,” said Paul Cofoni, CACI president and CEO. “They reinforce our commitment to intelligence as one of CACI’s core competencies and provide solutions that cross multiple mission areas and market sectors.”

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 16 on Washington Technology’s 2010 Top 100 list of the largest federal government contractors.
