NIH sets release date for $30B RFP
NIH is moving foward with a release date for its Chief Information Officers-Solutions and Partners 3 contract, valued at $30 billion.
Officials at the National Institutes of Health’s acquisition center said they intend to release the request for proposals for its Chief Information Officers-Solutions and Partners 3 governmentwide acquisition contract by Sept. 1, according to a notice posted online Aug. 17.
NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center plans to solicit contractors to participate in the new GWAC, which will support a full range of IT services for the federal government. CIO-SP 3 will focus on agencies, such as NIH and the Health and Human Services Department, involved in healthcare and clinical and biological research, according to the notice in the Federal Business Opportunities notice.

CIO-SP 3 will have a version set aside for small businesses too. NITAAC officials said they expect to release the RFP for CIO-SP 3 Small Business in September.
