Contract association names new board of directors

The National Contract Management Association named its 2010-2011 board of directors.

The National Contract Management Association in June announced its 2010-2011 board of directors. The board includes many current and former high-ranking federal acquisition officials. The members' term began July 1.

Elliot Branch, executive director of acquisition and logistics management in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development and Acquisition.

Robert Burton, former deputy administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy and now partner at the Venable law firm.

Michael Fischetti, director of acquisition management and support in the Office of Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs and TRICARE Management Activity.

Michelle Currier, a professor of contract management at the Defense Acquisition University.

Deirdre Lee, formerly administrator of the Office of Federal Procurement Policy, director of defense procurement and acquisition policy in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, director of management and chief acquisition officer at the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the Homeland Security Department, and associate administrator for procurement at NASA and currently executive director of compliance at Fluor Corp.

Col. Thomas Robinson, chief of the contracting division in the Directorate of Logistics, Installations and Mission Support at the Air Force’s Air Education and Training Command.

The board of directors includes 23 total members. Karen Wilson, director of acquisition policy and industrial affairs with the Boeing Co., will serve as the board's president. Charles Chadwick, vice president of Contracts and Business Conduct for BAE Systems, Inc., will be president-elect.
