CACI gets down to business at Defense Department

CACI International Inc. has been awarded a Defense Information Systems Agency task order valued at approximately $31 million to upgrade software programs at the Defense Department’s Business Transformation Agency.

CACI International Inc. has been awarded a Defense Information Systems Agency task order valued at approximately $31 million to upgrade software programs for the Defense Department’s Business Transformation Agency.

Under the terms of the contract, CACI will implement the Oracle E-Business Suite to support the BTA’s Defense Agency Initiative program in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and other DOD agencies.

The DAI program provides a standard financial management solution that interconnects business processes for all DOD agencies, CACI said in a statement today.

CACI’s role focuses on services that help DOD agencies upgrade their current information technology environments with the new DAI infrastructure. This includes providing business process integration, implementation planning, workforce preparation, data conversion and help desk services.

The contract, which is new business for CACI, was competitively awarded under the DISA Encore II contract vehicle, the announcement stated.

CACI International, of Arlington, Va., ranks No. 20 on Washington Technology’s 2009 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
