Find opportunities — and win them.

Angela Styles named director of the Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct.

Angela Styles was named the new director for the Defense Industry Initiative on Business Ethics and Conduct.

Styles is a partner at the Crowell and Moring law firm. Before that, she was the administrator for federal procurement policy in the Office of Management and Budget.

As the new director, Styles said the association will create a training series to help contractors deal with the new Federal Acquisition Regulation rules on disclosures and personal and organizational conflicts of interest.

The Defense Industry Initiative is an association of defense companies seeking to do business at a high ethical level and comply with regulations.

“We all have a duty to federal taxpayers to act honestly and with integrity,” Styles said.

Styles is replacing Richard Bednar, a lawyer and former Army judge advocate general.

The association announced her new position Feb. 18.
