The Seaport-e contract vehicle specifically calls for General Dynamics IT to upgrade various machinery systems at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division, according to a company announcement today.
GDIT computer programmers, software and systems engineers, and program management experts will provide the Philadelphia facility with software development, software process documentation and software data collection.
General Dynamics will also perform quality assurance and support the development of policy and procedures such as software certification and safety, the announcement said.
The majority of the work will be performed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center’s Ship Systems Engineering Station at the Philadelphia Naval Business Center.
