Emtec Federal has won two blanket purchase orders to supply information technology products and services to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Each of the five-year awards is worth an estimated $10 million a year to the systems integrator.
One contract offers CDC organizations Samsung and Dell monitors as well as Hewlett Packard and Dell printers; the second provides the Atlanta-based government health agency with access to HP and Dell servers as well as storage products, Emtec officials said.
Through the two separate BPAs, Emtec Federal will deliver IT products and services to CDC organizations worldwide.
The CDC, an agency of the Health and Human Services Department, has more than 14,000 employees in 54 countries that represent 170 occupations, Emtec officials said.
Westwood Computer Corp., a federal systems integrator, changed its name to Emtec Federal in 2007 to more closely identify with parent company Emtec Inc.
Emtec, of Marlton, N.J., provides information technology products and services to federal, state, local, education and commercial clients.
