Alion helps Army develop future combat systems

Alion Science and Technology will help the Army develop future combat systems under a task order valued at $4.35 million.

The award calls for the employee-owned technology company to work with the Army Future Combat Systems Advanced Collaborative Environment (FCS ACE).

The FCS ACE is a secure Web environment in which government and industry participants can collaborate and access product, technical and program management information.

Alion will support the development, operation and maintenance of the FCS ACE by providing enterprise architecture analysis and development, business process management and requirements definition.

Alion also will help streamline and improve business processes and control investment costs for the life cycle of FCS ACE, said Timer Keenan, Alion senior vice president and Strategic Operations Group manager.

The task order was awarded under the Army’s Logistics, Maintenance and Supply Support contract.

The work runs through Feb. 18, 2010, with three option years.

Alion Science and Technology, of McLean, Va., ranks No. 31 on Washington Technology’s 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
