SRA to assist Navy with systems engineering

The SeaPort-e contract task order calls for SRA to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, by providing systems engineering and program support to the Navy and a variety of Joint Program Offices.
Under the task order, SRA will support U.S. defense mission readiness by providing systems engineering, capabilities and requirements analysis, and program management support, company officials said.
The functions will include capability development associated with advanced command and control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance, as well as software-defined radios and other wireless forms of communications.
The Indian Head Division is a leader in the Navy’s Energetics Enterprise, providing research and energetic systems for U.S. fighting forces worldwide.
“This task order will involve warfare concept development and feasibility studies supporting a variety of naval and defense agencies,” said Pat Burke, senior vice president of SRA’s National Security Sector.
