Northrop to run national drill for FEMA
Northrop Grumman Corp. will conduct a national preparedness drill for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in 2009.
Northrop Grumman Corp. will conduct a national preparedness drill for the Federal Emergency Management Agency next year under a two-year, $12 million contract.
Northrop Grumman will conduct and evaluate the 2009 Tier 1 National Level Exercise, which is the largest and most complex national disaster drill conducted by FEMA's National Exercise Division.
The drill will take place in FEMA's Region VI, which encompasses Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
Northrop Grumman's subcontractors for the project are ICF International Inc., Battelle Memorial Institute, Alutiiq LLC, L-3 Communications Corp., Unitech and Interface Media Group.
Northrop Grumman ranks No. 3 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
