ACS continues Medicaid assistance to Wyoming
Affiliated Computer Services has received a contract renewal to continue providing fiscal services for Wyoming's health care programs.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. will continue to provide fiscal services to Wyoming's health care programs under a five-year, $48 million contract renewal.
The third consecutive contract from the Wyoming Department of Health calls for ACS to continue to furnish fiscal agent services for the state's dental program and its Medicaid Management Information System through June 2013, extending ACS' 15-year relationship with the state.
As part of the new contract, ACS will add a call center to address provider questions from the dental community as well as work with the dental program on client outreach initiatives.
In addition to regular fiscal agent operations, ACS also administers provider relations, medical policy, all third-party liability functions, Medicare buy-in and estate recovery. The contractor also manages a transportation call center that processes funds for administrative and emergency travel services for Medicaid clients.
ACS also partners with the Wyoming Department of Family Services on its Integrated Resource Information System project, which is designed to improve the state's eligibility system and the lives of those who rely on it, said Joe Doherty, executive vice president and group president of ACS' Government Solutions Group, in a statement.
ACS, of Dallas, ranks No. 68 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
