KBR to aid Army Europe projects
KBR Inc. will provide program management support services to the U.S. Army Europe.
KBR Inc. will provide program management support services to the U.S. Army Europe under a $6.7 million contract.
Under the U.S. Army Europe Support Contract, KBR will help sustain U.S. Army Europe forces and installations, the Defense Department said Oct. 2. The company will perform the work in Bulgaria, Germany, Kosovo and Romania, and at its Houston headquarters. The contract expires July 31, 2011.
The U.S. Army Europe Support Contract was established to enhance the operational readiness of U.S. Army forces deployed in Europe. It covers logistics support, temporary construction and related services.
The Army Corps of Engineers' Transatlantic Programs Center at Winchester, Va., is the contracting activity.
KBR provides global engineering, construction and services to the public and private sectors. The company ranks No. 7 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
