SAIC to strengthen Navy tactical data links

SAIC will provide technical support for the Navy's Tactical Data Link Systems under a new contract.

Science Applications International Corp. will assist the Navy with technical support under a five-year contract that has a potential value of $46.5 million if all options are exercised.

SAIC will support the Navy's Tactical Data Link Systems, including the Joint Tactical Information Distribution System, the Command and Control Processor Subsystem, the Tactical Digital Data Information Link and the Common Data Link Management System.

The San Diego-based contractor will provide systems engineering, systems integration, test support, fleet support, software engineering, training, integrated logistics support, configuration management, and project management support.

Work will be performed in San Diego and is expected to be completed by September 2013. The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, is the contracting authority.
