SRA International Inc. has bought flight control softwaredeveloper Interface & Control Systems Inc.NASA is using ICS' software in its Constellation nextgenerationspace flight project. The Columbia, Md.-based ICS will become part of SRA's NationalSecurity Sector Intelligence and Space StrategicBusiness Unit, based in Fairfax, Va.Bart & Associates Inc., a provider of enterprise softwaresolutions, has bought Digital Solutions Inc.Financial details were not disclosed. The Sterling,Va.-based DSI is qualified with the HomelandSecurity Department as a prime contractor for Eaglesoftware development, a spokesman for McLean,Va.-based B&A said.An unsolicited $300 million bid for Digimarc Corp.'sgovernment identification card business is raising ireinternationally. The bid by Paris defense firm SafranS.A. could present national security concerns, saidRobert LaPenta, chairman of prospective buyer L-1Identity Solutions Inc. The French government owns asubstantial stake in Safran. Digimarc, based inBeaverton, Ore., had agreed in March to be acquiredby L-1 for an estimated $263 million.
