SAIC to upgrade San Diego Navy center networks
Science Applications International Corp. will provide specialized network infrastructure services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, under a new contract.
Science Applications International Corp. will provide specialized network infrastructure services to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego, under a two-year contract valued at more than $20 million.
Under the contract from the Program Executive Office for command and control, communications, computers and intelligence, SAIC will provide the force-wide tactical information and combat support systems with technical support, design, analysis, testing, evaluation and system implementation services.
This indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract also calls for SAIC to assist with integration support for the Defense Department Architecture Framework and related programs, and prepare a disaster recovery plan that includes recovery of critical network service. The company will perform the work primarily in San Diego.
SAIC, of San Diego, ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2008 Top 100 list of the largest federal government prime contractors.
