ManTech International Corp. of Fairfax, Va.,will buy McDonald Bradley Inc. for $76.5million in an all-cash deal.McDonald Bradley's work on theEnterprise Acquisition Gateway forLeading Edge Solutions contractfocuses on the Defense andHomeland Security departmentsand U.S. intelligence agencies.The company is based inHerndon, Va.Accenture LLP is adding to itsdefense consulting practice with theplanned acquisition of Maxim Systems Inc. ofSan Diego. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.Accenture of Reston, Va., will add about 135 employeesthrough the deal. The acquisition will help Accentureextend its reach into the command, control,communications, intelligence, surveillanceand reconnaissance market, a companyspokesman said.VT Group PLC of Southampton,England, plans to buy AdvancedEngineering and Planning Corp.of Gaithersburg, Md., for $70 million,with another $5 million contingenton future performance.AEPCO manages life cycle supportprograms for U.S. Army helicopters.The acquisition will expand VTGroup's U.S. presence and improves its margins,the company said. The deal is expected toclose by January.
