DLT, IronKey strike security partnership

DLT Solutions, a reseller of information technology products and services, plans to offer the IronKey product line to government customers at all levels through a number of procurement vehicles it holds.

DLT, based in Herndon, Va., intends to sell the Ironkey products and services through the General Services Administration schedule, Solutions for Enterprise-Wide Procurement IV, and the state contracts it holds.

The new partnership will add IronKey's secure USB flash drive to DLT's offerings. Organizations can use the drive for authentication, encryption, privacy and identity management.

The appeal of small flash drives has made them commonplace in most organizations, but those that lack security features are vulnerable to unauthorized extraction of sensitive data, the company said in a news release.

"With the addition of IronKey hardware to our portfolio, we can offer agencies of all sizes [a secure flash drive], adding a deeper level of portable data security than exists in those agencies today," said Rick Marcotte, DLT's president and chief executive officer.

DLT has alliances and partnerships with Autodesk Inc., Network Appliance Inc., Oracle Corp., Quantum Corp., Quest Software, Red Hat Inc., Symantec Corp. and others.

IronKey is located in Altos, Calif.
