CACI to support Navy supply system

The Navy's planned single integrated supply and maintenance information system will get support from CACI International Inc. under a $47.5 million contract awarded to the company.

Under the contract, CACI of Arlington, Va., will provide technical support services to the Naval Supply Systems Command. The work will support the Navy's Enterprise Resource Planning Single Supply Solution program. The Single Supply Solution is the integrated supply and maintenance information system capable of tracking supply purchases and allocations throughout the Navy.

The goal of the Single Supply Solution program is to provide a unified and secure information system that the Navy can use to monitor the status of naval supplies and equipment anywhere in the world.

The software system will give the Navy greater visibility into its assets and improve the efficiency of planning for the purchase, maintenance and deployment of those assets. The system ultimately should provide more timely, cost-effective supply support for America's warfighters.

CACI's role includes helping to deploy the system to Navy sites and support system training. CACI also will aid in ensuring data from existing maintenance and supply systems is effectively migrated to the Single Supply Solution and that the older systems are sustained during this transition.
