Duos Technologies buys Cybrinth

Duos Technologies Inc. has completed the acquisition of Cybrinth LLC, a government provider of customized data security processes. Terms were not released.

Cybrinth has developed a patent-pending process that addresses a myriad of risk mitigation strategies, including active content filtering, HTTP tunneling, intrusion detection, encryption, digital forensics, XML security, UNIX and LINUX security and identity theft.

The company will maintain its headquarters in Washington, but will change its brand name to Cybrinth Inc., Duos said. Its clients include federal agencies, foreign governments, worldwide financial institutions and enterprise level commercial entities.

The acquisition adds strategic cyber deterrence to the Duos Technologies talent pool and enhances Duos' ability to provide enterprise security solutions, said Gianni Arcaini, Duos chief executive officer.

In January 2007, Jacksonville, Fla.-based Duos Technologies created a subsidiary, Duos Technologies International Inc., to expand into the international defense and security markets. The unit provides systems for security, remote surveillance and automation for government and commercial clients.
