General Dynamics to support D.C. Corrections

General Dynamics will provide information and technology support for the Corrections Department in D.C. under a five-year contract.

General Dynamics will provide information and technology support for the Corrections Department in Washington, D.C., under a $10.7 million, five-year contract.

Under the terms of the agreement, General Dynamics Information Technology will provide a wide range of information technology services, including network management, database administration and applications development and administration.

General Dynamics IT also will handle systems acquisition and integration, help desk support and report development.

Several of the hardware systems and software applications supported under the contract are critical "safety-of-life" systems for the D.C. jail and other nearby facilities.

General Dynamics IT has supported the D.C. Corrections Department under similar contracts since 1998.
