Ciber gets North Carolina SAP training deal

Ciber Inc. will help North Carolina train employees to use the state's new SAP-driven human resources and payroll system through a $5 million project.

Under the contract, Ciber of Denver will lead the design, development and deployment of a statewide training program for the new system expected to go live next year.

The State Controller hired Ciber to train 89,000 state employees to ensure they are ready to operate the system when it launches.

The new HR and payroll system is a part of an ongoing modernization initiative to improve core business management processes and applications.

The new system replaces three large, independent systems and standardizes more than 100 business processes for HR and payroll activities across state government.

Ciber is a systems integration consultancy. The company has about 8,000 employees and annual sales of about $1 billion.
