CapRock closes Arrowhead acquisition

CapRock Communications Inc. has completed its purchase of Arrowhead Global Solutions Inc., a supplier of integrated communications solutions. The acquisition was announced in February.

The two companies plan to target the government, engineering and construction vertical markets through a broader suite of products, services and support. By pooling their resources, the companies also will be able to pursue systems integration projects in the government sector.

Arrowhead of Fairfax, Va., will function as a wholly owned subsidiary of CapRock. Mary Ann Elliott will continue as Arrowhead's chairman and chief executive officer.

Arrowhead provides customers with terrestrial and satellite-based communications, program management, installations and maintenance support services.

CapRock is a supplier of global satellite communications for the energy, maritime, engineering, construction, mining and disaster recovery industries, as well as the government sector.

CapRock uses satellite technologies to deliver communications services for broadband networking, real-time video and digital telephony under rugged conditions and in remote locations.
