SRA tapped to integrate data for Marine Corps
SRA International Inc. has been awarded a five-year, $33.3 million contract from the Marine Corps to provide information technology services for a digital work environment.
SRA International Inc. has been awarded a five-year, $33.3 million contract from the Marine Corps to provide information technology services for a digital work environment.
Under the contract, SRA of Fairfax, Va., will provide a broad range of IT services to help the Marine Corps Systems Command upgrade its acquisition and life cycle management systems.
SRA's team includes Northrop Grumman Corp., Portal Dynamics Inc., Smartronix, and UGS Corp.
The MCSC is the Marine Corps' principal agent for equipping forces for its war-fighting mission. A system developed by SRA will allow MCSC personnel to work collaboratively in a secure, integrated digital environment accessible to other users that employ standard, automated business processes.
The SRA-led team will deliver a commercial solution and also provide requirements analysis, data architecture, systems engineering and integration, knowledge management and training services.
SRA has 5,200 employees and had annual sales of $1.1 billion in 2006. The company ranks No. 19 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
