Picture this: Chertoff gives CIO a boost

While speaking at a Northern Virginia Technology Council breakfast March 15, Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff unveiled a plan to consolidate information technology managment and buying power under the department's chief information officer. DHS became one of the few agencies with a CIO that holds such powers.
