Glasgow steps up at NCI

Michael Solley, who has helped guide two companies through successful initial public offerings, is resigning effective Jan. 31 as president of NCI Inc. He is giving up his seat on the board of directors as well.

Terry Glasgow, NCI's chief operating officer, has been promoted to president of the Reston, Va.-based systems integrator. Glasgow will retain his COO post.

Solley is leaving to pursue other interests, the company said.

"Since joining NCI in 2003, Mike has made tremendous contributions in helping the company execute some of its most significant strategic accomplishments," Charles Narang, NCI chairman and CEO said in a press release.

Solley joined the company in 2003 and helped NCI through its initial public offering in October 2005. Before joining NCI, Solley was president and CEO of MTC Technologies Inc., a Dayton, Ohio, professional service and systems integration firm. He helped that company go public in 2002. He also spent several years at Nichols Research Corp. in Huntsville, Ala., and was executive vice president of the company when it was acquired by Computer Sciences Corp. in 1999.

Glasgow joined NCI in 2003 as COO. Previously he was vice president and general manager of Army programs at CSC. He also held management positions at Loral Corp.

NCI ranks No. 71 on Washington Technology's 2006 Top 100 list of the largest federal IT contractors.
