Software maker Deltek Systems Inc. has picked up its third software company in the last nine months with the acquisition of C/S Solutions Inc. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
C/SSI of Destin, Fla., produces technology solutions that let aerospace and defense contractors and government agencies manage costs, schedules and risks for complex projects.
It also offers a so-called dashboard solution for enterprise-wide project management integration. A dashboard gives insight into key performance indicators through simple visual graphics such as gauges, charts or tables within a Web browser.
C/SSI will add more than 500 customers to Deltek's existing 11,000 clients, including several new government agencies. About 20 percent, or nearly 2,000, of Deltek's clients are government contractors, including CACI International Inc., Computer Sciences Corp. and L-3 Communications Corp.
C/SSI is Deltek's third acquisition in the past nine months, and is part of Deltek's overall strategy to expand its products in the United States through acquisitions.
The company's previous acquisitions were Wind2 Software Inc., a financial management software firm, in October 2005 and Welcom Corp., a provider of project management software, in March.
Deltek of Herndon, Va., is a privately held company that designs project management software for government contractors and other industries. The company had 2005 revenue of $150 million, of which government contracts generated almost half.
