The General Services Administration will hold an industry day later this month to provide the latest information on the agency's Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 product-approval process.
In a notice, GSA said the June 19 industry will be held at its Washington headquarters.
The program will discuss how GSA will evaluate HSPD-12 products and services to ensure that they are compliant with Federal Information Processing Standard 201-1.
Under HSPD-12, agencies must begin processing interoperable Personnel Identity Verification cards to new employees and contractors by Oct. 27.
GSA is testing HSPD-12 products, such as ID badges and card readers, to ensure that they are interoperable, while the National Institute of Standards and Technology is assessing whether they are FIPS-201-1 compliant.
