TechTeam nabs Massport network support deal

TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. won a contract from the Massachusetts Port Authority for network administration and engineering services to support several of its internal networks.

Under the $2.8 million, three-year contract, TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. of Chantilly, Va., will provide network administration, switch, router, and microwave link maintenance, as well as technical network engineering and network management services.

TechTeam has furnished network engineering and maintenance services to Massport for more than five years. The company supplied equipment, configuration, and administration support for Massport's Infrastructure and Secure Initiative environment. TechTeam also has supplied products and services for the Infrastructure Upgrade Project, implementing a secure, scalable, and fault- tolerant network infrastructure.

Massport's Information Services and Telecommunications Department offers network services to more than 1,000 users statewide.

Massport is a public authority that develops, promotes, and manages airports, seaports, and the transportation infrastructure for the state.

TechTeam Government Solutions Inc. is a subsidiary of TechTeam Global Inc. of Southfield, Mich. The company has more than 1,700 employees and had annual revenue of $166 million in fiscal 2005, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
