Maryland re-ups CSC for Health Dept. tech support

Computer Sciences Corp. won a $35.9 million contract renewal from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to handle IT support. The two-year contract has three two-year options.

Computer Sciences Corp. won a $35.9 million contract renewal from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene to handle IT support. The two-year contract has three two-year options.

CSC of El Segundo, Calif., will continue providing systems integration, software development, data center and business process engineering services to the department. The new contract follows a similar IT services contract the company signed with the agency in 2001.

CSC's team includes Consulting and Network Services Inc., Group Z, Covansys Corp., KForce Inc., Unitech Solutions Inc., William Information Network Group Inc. and SNAP Inc.

The department delivers health care insurance support to Maryland's citizens.

CSC has more than 80,000 employees and had annual revenue of $14.6 billion for fiscal 2005. The company ranks No. 4 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
