The Agriculture Department is looking for commercial vulnerability assessment scanning tools. The application must be able to scan a large number of IP addresses and a wide variety of operating systems and applications.The application must update its checks for newly discovered vulnerabilities, perform ad hoc and scheduled scanning, provide vulnerability remediation management tools and produce reports. It also must offer a centralized storage mechanism for the vulnerability assessment information.Responses are due by March 22. Contact Scott Wolz at scott.wolz@usda.gov.The Energy Department seeks industry partners to further develop and commercialize the GuardDog intrusion detection sensors at its Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, operated by the University of California.The sensor network can monitor an area for intrusions and relay the data to a satellite or another receiver many kilometers away. More sophisticated GuardDog sensors can distinguish between human activity and motion generated by wildlife and wind, and the sensors can track and record the exact locations of the activity.Responses are due by March 28. Contact Connie Pitcock at pitcock1@llnl.gov.The Air Force wants price, delivery and capability information for the next development phase of its Enhanced Range Application Program.The program will offer next-generation test and evaluation range data systems to Air Force, Army and Navy test ranges to meet Defense Department requirements for comprehensive testing of advanced combat systems.The program will improve test and evaluation range capabilities in five areas: enhanced data transfer flexibility; increased accuracy in time, space and position data and faster update rates; component miniaturization and modularity for better internal mounting flexibility; standardization of interface protocols and an open architecture design; enhanced system encryption capability.
