Ciber takes Denver regional transportation ERP deal

Ciber Inc. won a three-year, $13 million software and services contract from Denver's Regional Transportation District.

Under the contract, Ciber Enterprise Solutions will implement an Oracle enterprise resource planning administrative information system to support the organization in managing its financial and human resources activities.

In addition, Ciber also will oversee the installation of Reston, Va.-based Maximus Inc.'s fleet maintenance activities and operations software suite. The suite incorporates enterprise asset management tools to manage fleet and rail vehicles, facilities, rail track, rail infrastructure and signal assets.

Ciber will integrate Maximus software product with Oracle's e-business suite.

The Denver RTD operates a public transportation system that serves Boulder, Broomfield, Denver and Jefferson counties with various transportation services, such as fixed bus route, light rail, call-and-demand response and access-a-ride service for the disabled. The organization operates more than 1,000 buses, 49 light rail vehicles, 24 light rail stations, and seven operating facilities.

Ciber Inc. of Denver is a systems integrator and consulting company for the public and private sectors. The company has more than 8,000 employees and had annual sales of $843 million in fiscal 2004.
