Three companies win $2b Army integration deal
Signal Solutions Inc., NCI Information Systems Inc. and STG Inc. have each landed Army contracts that together total more than $2.3 billion to provide omnibus IT services to the Army and other federal agencies.
Three companies have landed Army contracts worth more than $2.3 billion to provide omnibus IT services to the Army and other federal agencies.
Signal Solutions Inc., NCI Information Systems Inc. and STG Inc. won the Total Engineering and Integration Services II (TEIS 2) contract, a five-year deal that consolidates several information technology services contracts.
The value of Signal Solutions' contract is $776 million, NCI's award is worth $780 million, and STG's award is worth $772 million. The contract's ceiling value for each vendor is about $800 million.
TEIS 2 succeeds the original Total Engineering and Integration Services contract awarded in March 2000. That five-year deal was awarded to Signal Corp. and OAO Corp. for a combined value of $545 million. Its services included information systems engineering and integration, operations and maintenance, IT support and program management.
The TEIS II work will be performed at Fort Huachuca, Ariz., the National Capital Region and at Army Information Systems Engineering Command customer sites worldwide.
Signal Solutions of Fairfax, Va., is a subsidiary of General Dynamics Corp., which offers IT, engineering and management products and services to the government and commercial sectors. General Dynamics ranks No. 5 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
NCI Information Systems of Reston, Va. provides IT services and solutions to federal agencies through its NCI Information Services Inc. subsidiary. The company is No.92 on the Top 100 list.
STG of Reston performs IT and records management services for federal, commercial and international clients. It is No. 61 on the on the Top 100 list
