GSA re-ups NCI for quality program support
NCI Information Systems Inc. will help the General Services Administration ensure the quality of the technology services its Public Building Service uses under a new five-year, $5.4 million contract.
NCI Information Systems Inc. will continue to help the General Services Administration ensure the quality of the technology services its Public Building Service uses under a new contract.
The Reston, Va., company has won a five-year, $5.4 million deal to continue managing an enterprise quality program for GSA Public Building Service's IT initiatives.
The enterprise quality program is based on a methodology developed by the Software Engineering Institute. It incorporates ISO 9000 Quality Assurance processes. The program covers quality assurance, configuration management, project management and independent validation and verification.
The chief information officer for the GSA Public Building Service awarded the contract. GSA's Public Building Service is essentially the landlord for the civilian government buildings. It maintains properties and leases public and private space to civilian agencies.
NCI Information Systems has more than 1,450 employees and annual sales of $171.3 million, ranks No. 92 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list, which measures federal contracting revenue.
