Treasury taps SI International for project management support

SI International Inc. won a five-year, $50 million contract from the Treasury Department to provide IT project management and development support services to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the company said today.

Under the performance-based, task order contract, SI International of Reston, Va., will provide services such as direct support for project and program management offices, IT capital planning support, research and analysis of IT development and solutions, and feasibility studies.

The services provided also may include requirements development assistance, change management development and support, process development and design, and systems engineering and technical analysis.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency regulates and supervises all national banks, as well as the federal branches and agencies of foreign banks. Through a series of IT projects, it is implementing a centralized, Internet-based strategy for bank transactions.

SI International provides IT and network solutions primarily for the federal government. The company has more than 3,800 employees and annual revenue of $262.3 million. It is No. 49 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
