Perot Systems wins Education data warehouse deal
Perot Systems Corp. has been awarded a nine-month contract from the Education Department to build a data warehouse and develop a business intelligence solution.
The Education Department wants to find a better way to store data. To do this, the department has awarded Perot Systems Corp. a nine-month contract worth more than $3 million to build a data warehouse and develop a business intelligence solution, the company said today.
Perot Systems' government services subsidiary will deliver a comprehensive data warehouse solution. The project involves creating a repository for grants and program evaluation data and covers hardware, software and the building of a reporting capability for business intelligence.
Perot Systems' federal customers include the Defense and Homeland Security departments, civilian agencies and the intelligence community.
The Plano, Texas-based company has more than 17,000 employees and had annual revenue of $1.8 billion in fiscal 2004. It ranks No. 50 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of federal prime contractors.
