SRA finishes Galaxy Scientific purchase
SRA International Inc. has completed its acquisition of Galaxy Scientific Corp., the company announced.

SRA signed a definitive agreement in June to buy Galaxy Scientific for an undisclosed amount in an all-cash deal.
Based in Egg Harbor Township, N.J., Galaxy Scientific is a privately held company that offers systems engineering, information technology and tactical communications services and solutions to the federal government. Its areas of expertise include command, control, communications, computers and intelligence tactical systems, information assurance and safety and security technologies.
Galaxy Scientific's federal clients include the Defense and Homeland Security departments and the Federal Aviation Administration. The company employs 450 workers and had revenue of approximately $90 million for the period ended April 3.
Fairfax, Va.-based SRA provides IT services and solutions to federal government agencies. It employs approximately 4,600 workers and had revenue of $615.8 million for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2004. The company is No. 27 on Washington Technology's 2005 Top 100 list of prime federal contractors.
