Md. school system enrolls Maximus for software work

Maximus Inc. won a $4.1 million contract from the Prince George's County, Md., public school district to provide a student information software system.

Maximus Inc. won a $4.1 million contract from the Prince George's County, Md., public schools to provide a student information software system, the company announced today.

Under the contract, Maximus of Reston, Va., will implement its SchoolMAX software application and provide related training and implementation services.

The software application is designed to enable public school systems to manage critical student information, track and facilitate the learning progress of students and facilitate communication and collaboration with parents and the community.

SchoolMAX also will assist county public schools to meet federal No Child Left Behind Act reporting and compliance requirements.

Maximus, which provides IT support to more than 2,000 public school systems, has more than 5,100 employees and annual sales of $603.8 million.
