Joseph takes over as DOT chief enterprise architect

Rhonda Joseph officially took the reins today as Transportation Department chief enterprise architect. She assumed the enterprise architecture responsibilities previously held by Darren Ash as deputy associate CIO.

Ash, to whom Joseph reports, recently was promoted to associate CIO, IT investment management. Joseph began a detail role supporting Ash on EA activities in April.

The CIO's office hired Joseph from Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, where she served as chief architect for the past four years. She also managed e-government and IT security programs in the CIO's office there. She has been with Transportation for 18 years.

Joseph graduated from Benjamin Franklin University, which merged with George Washington University, Washington, D.C.
