Brijot Imaging Systems Inc. has released a concealed weapons detection camera, the Brijot Imaging Systems Weapons Detection System.The camera uses passive millimeter-wave sensor technology developed by Lockheed Martin Corp., said officials from Brijot of Orlando, Fla. The camera system will detect guns, knives or bombs, whether metal, plastic or composite, Brijot officials said. The millimeter-wave camera combined with a video camera and special algorithm software can interface to other security devices.The camera system is passive, meaning it uses no harmful rays, and it has a range up to 45 feet with lens options, company officials said.WordLogic Corp., a developer of multilingual, predictive text input software, has released WordLogic Predictive Keyboard for Desktop PCs.The software, an intuitive text-entry system, uses one-key operation and a prediction engine, making data entry faster and simpler, officials from the Vancouver, British Columbia, company said. It works with any standard PC application for e-mail, instant messaging, word processing, spreadsheets and presentations for Windows 2000 and Windows XP.Initially available in English, the software includes a personal dictionary that remembers user preferences for words and phrases. ZyLab Technologies Inc., a developer of content management and compliance solutions, has released a new product, ZyImage E-mail Management Suite.The ZyImage suite can be integrated into larger document management processes, so extra storage is not required, company officials said. Users can choose the appropriate scale, ranging from basic personal searching within an existing records management environment to comprehensive backup solutions within a broad knowledge management context.E-mails can be kept or destroyed based on choice rather than on available mailbox or server space, officials said.
